Welcome to the Geraldton Croquet Club website.
We are a small but very friendly and active sporting club, centrally located in Maitland Street, in the Western corner of Maitland Park, Geraldton, Western Australia.
We play Golf and Association croquet, hold club competitions, pennants and tournaments in which other WA croquet clubs compete. We have hosted several state competitions in the past year. We also have dinners and occasional barbecues at the club house.
We host "come and try" days several times a year to encourage potential new members. Those who think they might like to take up croquet are offered lessons by qualified coaches and are welcomed into the club. The ages of our members range from sub-teens through to the nineties; some are working but many are retirees in their 60s and 70s. If you are looking for a new activity, this may be it. You are welcome to come and have a look and talk to us at any time we are playing. See the Playing Times page for details.
Membership fees are modest, as are our green fees. See the Club Fees page for details.
Croquet is a game which does not demand a high standard of fitness, in theory you should be able to play it as long as you can walk, but it is to some degree a mind game where strategy and tactics matter and it can be as competitive as you want it to be. Geraldton Croquet Club has a full range of skill levels; from one member who represents Western Australia through to several recently joined members who have just learnt to play the game.
You will be made very welcome if you come and have a look; you may find a game you enjoy and can play with a sociable group of people. We look forward to meeeting you.
